Over the past
twenty years, we have produced an amazing event at the West
Los Angeles VA facility – the Annual Veterans’ Holiday
Celebration.
This year we will continue our legacy of providing homemade meals, gifts,
entertainment and a huge holiday party for the men and women
who have given everything of themselves for our freedom and
our country.
On the first Sunday of every December, the VA Greater Los Angeles, VA
Voluntary Service, over 100 restaurants and local businesses
and the community at large, along with over 900 volunteers,
come together as one. This union of men and women help us
maintain our vision to provide a memorable meal, gifts, and
entertainment, as well as much needed appreciation. This
year's celebration will take place on
Sunday, December 8th, 2013
from 12:00 PM-5:30 PM, rain or shine.
We all have one common purpose: a strong desire to give back and honor
the men and women who put their lives on the line in order
for all of us to live in this great
nation......................
As many of the veterans return from wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, many
will be diagnosed and treated with extreme cases of Post
Traumatic Stress Disorder and physical injuries. These
truths highlight just how important the Annual Veterans'
Holiday Celebration has become, by honoring them, welcoming
them back and showing, in a small but truly significant way,
that there is indeed a home for them to return to.
We thank you on behalf of the
Veterans and Active Duty Personnel.
